In today's Evansville Courier, I read an article about Land Between the Lakes. IT basically said that the forest service has initiated the required public comment period needed to re- evaluate their management plan. Although the article DID NOT specifically say that any changes were being considered for Turkey Bay, please remember that this IS the US Forest Service that runs LBL now. They are the same governmental entitiy that banned OHV's from the Hoosier National Forest in 1972. A piece of ground that we still are not back on.

So, without further ado, please write a letter to them stating your wishes to have this important riding area spared from being left out. Even wirh Redbird opening this year, Turkey Bay is still a popular destination for many Hoosier wheelers. We simply can't afford to risk losing another scrap of ground by assuming that it won't be taken from us.

I didn't see any Email address listed, but they did give this address for mailing (better anyway) your comments to.
Land Between the Lakes Administrative Office
