35th Annual All-4-Fun Week Event, August 2001

35th Annual All-4-Fun Week Event

This annual event hosted by the Mile Hi Jeep Club of Colorado, was held in the Salida, Colorado area this summer. Each year it is held in a different section of the state and is a week long event. Approximately 300 vehicles, mostly jeeps were in attendance. Most of the attendees camp in the provided area with tents, motorhomes and everything in between. Motels are close by. Trail rides are offered everyday except on Wednesday which is vendor day, where major vendors come in under the big tent and display their wares. That day is also the show and shine contest along with a parade in town just for us. Many challenging trails are offered as well as easy scenic ones. Several BBQ's are included in your admission as well as a door prize, which could be anything from a hat to a set of tires. There are also two raffle nights with tires, winches and lift kits just to name a few prizes. This year Scott and Debby, Hank and Kahli (his daughter), Steve and Marty and their son and fiancee all headed west for this event. We camped with our friends from Michigan like we do every year and had a lot of fun. We ran some very challenging trails and met people from all over the country. The club donated two fire extinguishers to be raffled off on raffle night and our club's name was read out loud on the loud speaker to over 600 people. At one point they asked where we were in the crowd and we all stood up and hollered and everyone clapped. You can't beat the price for this event and the scenery is spectacular. Hope more of us can make it next year.
